Computer Applications

  • The company has the requisite expertise in terms of staff and equipment for data processing, statistical analysis, software development and web development. The staffs work under the overall guidance of Dr. Y.P. Gupta, Chief of Research, who was responsible for setting up of Computer Centre at the National Institute of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi. He also trained the faculty and staff at NIHFW in computer applications using Microsoft office and SPSS. Dr. Gupta has expertise in all types of data analysis including advanced multivariate analysis. He had undergone training in Computer Applications at the University of Michigan, USA.

Field Operations

  • For field work we have a panel of freelancer experienced male & female field investigators and supervisors, who are trained and supervised directly by our regular field executives for field data collection for various assignments.

Cosultancy Services

The company is providing consultancy services to Avenir Health, USA for Track 20 project funded by Bill and Melinda gates Foundation, USA since 2014.

The Track20 Project monitors the progress towards achieving the goals of the global FP2020 initiative, adding an additional 120 million modern method users between 2012 and 2020 in the world’s 69 poorest countries. Track20 works directly with governments in participating FP2020 countries to collect, analyze and use data to monitor progress annually in family planning and to actively use data to improve family planning strategies and plans.

Y G Consultants is providing technical support in measuring the progress of core family planning indictors for national and subnational levels and selected districts to the Family Planning Division, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW), Govt. of India and Technical Support Units of Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh under Track 20 India project.


In addition, Y G Consultants is providing support to Avenir Health and FP division, MOHFW, in organization of Technical Experts Group annual meetings and consensus building workshops since the year 2014 involving various stakeholders such as Officials from the Govt of India, FP2020 global representatives, International donors such BMGF, USAID, UNFPA, DFID; national and international development agencies, academicians and demographers.

Recently, the following three studies based on the primary data were conducted and submitted to the MOHFW, GOI:

  • Rapid assessment of family planning program in Uttar Pradesh during the year 2015. The study was conducted in 10 randomly selected district of the state. The results of the study are used to generate state level estimates of family planning.
  • Study to understand the use of contraception among married and unmarried adolescents in the state of Madhya Pradesh and Odisha during the year 2017.
  • Study to understand the reasons for difference in estimated number of IUCD users from HMIS and National Family Health Surveys in 4 states – Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. Data was collected from 8 districts from each state except Himachal Pradesh where only 4 districts were covered. The findings will be useful to GOI to improve the recoding and reporting of IUCDs in the country.
The Project FP 2020 has now been extended till 2030 and named FP 2030
